What happens in a Kinesiology session?

Kinesiology uses gentle muscle monitoring to understand where your body is holding stress, emotions, or imbalance. Through this process, your body shows what it’s ready to release — and we support that release using energy balancing, acupressure points, fascial and cranial release, sound, emotional processing, and other intuitive corrections your body guides us toward. Everything unfolds at the pace your system feels safe with, so the session remains calm, grounded, and deeply supportive.

 

It feels very gentle.
I apply light pressure to your arm, hand, or sometimes another muscle to see how your body responds.
There is no force, no pain, and it isn’t a strength test — just a soft way of listening to how your system is communicating.

Yes — Kinesiology is very gentle and works at the pace your body can handle. That means we only balance what your system is ready for, in the way it feels safe to do so. You don’t need to push, analyse, or relive anything. Your body leads, and we follow what feels right for you. You will be held and heard with complete non‑judgement.

You don’t need to know exactly what you want to work on. Having an intention or an issue in mind can help guide the session, but it isn’t required. Often we don’t fully understand what’s underneath our stress, frustration, or sense of feeling “off” — and that’s completely okay. Your body leads the process. Even if your mind feels unsure or overwhelmed, Kinesiology helps reveal what’s sitting beneath the surface.

No — it’s different. Kinesiology works with the body’s responses rather than the mind’s stories. You’re welcome to talk during the session, but you don’t need to analyse or explain anything.

Kinesiology can support many areas of emotional and physical wellbeing. It can help with stress, overwhelm, fatigue, frustration, feeling “off,” or feeling out of alignment. It’s also helpful for patterns you can’t shift, nervous system imbalance, and the emotional layers beneath trauma. Because it works with the body’s responses, it gently supports whatever your system is ready to release or rebalance.

 
 

Yes — I’ve been supporting pets through Kinesiology for many years. I use what’s called surrogate kinesiology, where the session works for the animal through their owner being physically present and attending the Kinesiology session at Tayo’s Harmony. By using the owner as the surrogate, we can gently balance the pet’s energetic system and support their emotional and physical wellbeing.

 

Yes — Kinesiology is very gentle and suitable for young children. If a child isn’t able to lie on the table or stay still, a parent can lie on the table for them and we use surrogate kinesiology. Through the parent acting as the surrogate, we can safely and gently support the child’s energetic balance and emotional wellbeing.

Everyone is different. Some people feel a shift after one session, while others benefit from a few sessions to support deeper patterns, stress, or trauma held in the body. There’s no set number — your system guides the pace. We check in together and follow what feels right for you.

Kinesiology is based on muscle monitoring, so it isn’t suited to online sessions. However, I do offer online Holistic Counselling, which is just as powerful in supporting the deeper layers of the body–mind connection. It works gently with emotion, intuition, and the underlying patterns beneath stress or imbalance — all from the comfort of your own space.

Wear something comfortable that allows you to relax and move your arms easily. There’s no need to dress up — just come as you are.

I understand life happens. If you need to reschedule, please give at least 24 hours’ notice so the space can be offered to someone else.
